Shout-Outs!

There have been SO MANY incredible volunteer events, and activities that have happened in the last few months.  This section is devoted to shouting-out to some of the BCMGs that have really stood out as leaders in the past few months.  Please send suggestions for Shout-Outs to Erin Mellenthin!

Robert Cook, Marty Resigner, and Derek Joost-

Shout-out for being incredible assests to the State Fair team that not only redesigned and built the demonstration garden as the State Fair Grounds, but also bringing together Balt Co and Balt City MG to collaborate, making learning guides and representing not just Baltimore City, but the entire State at the brad new UME State Master Gardener Learning Garden.

Valerie Griffith -

Shout-Out to Valerie and her DIG Team for totally rehabbing the DIG Garden this year and show how dealing with the crazy deer situtation at Cylburn with grace and resilience! The fight is not over yet!

Carole Aine Langrall -

Major shout-out!!! Carole took on a new role this year as the Overall Coordinator for all three Charm City Farm and Garden Events that the BCMGs organize!  She did an excellent job in helping to make sure the CCFG Garden Judging, CCFG Bus & Bike Tours, and CCFG Supper were successful!

Derek Joost, Emily Jaskot, Homer Smith, Raychel Santo, and Betty Walke -

These were the Coorindators of the CCFG Garden Judging, Bike Tour, and CCFG Supper this year as well as our graphic design guru!  The CCFG Events could NOT have happended with them and a dozen more BCMGs and Interns who showed up for meetings, helped map out routes, aided in driving around judges, and helped volutneer at the supper, went on last minute Bun Runs, donated their grills, and overall made these events happen.  SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF YOU!

Shout out to all of you wonderful BCMGs and Interns!  Your dedication and work helps people every single day in growing food, beautifying spaces, and keeping our waterways healthy!
