By default, content on this site is public. It can be made private (so that only group members can see it), through the use of both the Groups Audience and Group content visibility fields.

Selecting a group from the Groups audience field makes it so only members of that group can edit it.

Additionally setting the Group content visibility field to Private makes it so only members of that group can see it.
