The Enterprise Learning Management System (or ELMS), powered by Blackboard and maintained by the UMD Office of Information Technology, is the online environment that supports teaching and learning at the University of Maryland. It provides secure online spaces for distributing course materials, communicating, managing grades, and much more. In addition to regular courses, ELMS spaces can be requested for organizations, committees, resource sites, workshops, and non-credit courses.
Streaming Media at the University of Maryland
Free Streaming Media services are available to UM instructors and/or researchers for:
- Class group projects
- Archiving class proceedings for research purposes
- Streaming a lecture live to students off campus
- Being able to bring in a guest lecturer from another part of the world
