My Workbench

One feature of AGNR’s installation of Drupal is the Workbench. Workbench is a home screen tailored for you—a place to see at a glance what’s new and what you’ve been working on. Click “My Workbench” in the Toolbar to get there.

My Content

Workbench opens in the “My Content” View. At the top, “My Edits” shows pages you have worked on recently. Note that it does not include new pages that you have just created. They will only show in the "All Recent Content" section below. “All Recent Content” shows the last 10 pages on the site that have been created or edited by anyone. If you have the permissions to edit any of these pages, you can do so right from My Workbench by clicking the “edit” button in the right column.

Create Content

The “Create Content” tab at the top of the Workbench screen opens up a list of content types you can edit. Clicking on any of the links will open up the edit form, where you can begin entering information. Creating content will be covered in more depth later in this manual.

My Sections (Main site only)

Through Workbench, the site has been divided into editorial groups, or Sections. The sections are based on the main menu, and currently consist of: About, Administrative Services, Alumni, Careers , Departments & Programs , For Faculty & Staff , Giving , Global Impact , IET , News & Events , Students. Depending on your job role, you may have access to one or more of these sections. When you are viewing pages, the Workbench Access Section is highlighted in yellow at the top of the page.
