Centering Content

How can I center text/an image?

You can't.

In order to keep a consistent appearance across the AGNR sites, all content should be left-aligned.

Sometimes, if copied from another website, for example, text may look centered in the edit window, but it will be left aligned on the published page!

Alternative options

Wrapping images: Occasionally, you might want an image to float to the right of the text, in which case you can select the image and choose "Align right." However, centering is not an option.

Resizing images: You can create the same visual effect of a centered image without disrupting the alignment of the page by using an image, or a series of adjacent images, that fit the width of the whole column. The main text column of most AGNR sites is 498 pixels.
